Album review: Poppy – Negative Spaces
Poppy unleashes her heavy side once again on intrepid yet occasionally erratic sixth album, Negative Spaces.
Poppy has postponed her upcoming UK tour due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak
Poppy has been forced to cancel her imminent UK tour due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The 'post-genre' enigma broke the news on Twitter just two days before her tour of the UK was due to start.
"Due to several local governments in Europe shutting down live engagements, I am being forced to postpone the UK and EU leg of my I DISAGREE tour," reads the message. "All tickets will remain valid and new dates announced as soon as possible."
Poppy's tour was scheduled to kick off in Manchester on Thursday, playing a number of UK shows before hitting mainland Europe.
This is just the latest tour cancellation due to the coronavirus outbreak, but is the first tour of the United Kingdom to be affected.
Last week, Slipknot were forced to cancel Knotfest in Japan along with the rest of their Asia tour. Green Day, Marilyn Manson and Pearl Jam have also had to postpone touring activity due to the outbreak.

SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, has also been cancelled, and there are concerns the upcoming Coachella festival may have to move to October.
“We are devastated to share this news with you," said SXSW in a statement. "‘The show must go on’ is in our DNA, and this is the first time in 34 years that the March event will not take place. We are now working through the ramifications of this unprecedented situation.
"As recently as Wednesday [March 4], Austin Public Health stated that ‘there’s no evidence that closing SXSW or any other gatherings will make this community safer.’ However, this situation evolved rapidly, and we honor and respect the City of Austin’s decision. We are committed to do our part to help protect our staff, attendees, and fellow Austinites.”
