We’ve already had some incredible music from Poppy this year (her own singles they’re all around us and New Way Out, plus collabs with Knocked Loose and Bad Omens), but now we’re about to see a different side to the experimental superstar – one that longtime fans will absolutely recognise and love.

Ahead of her sixth album Negative Spaces in November, Poppy is teaming up with Veeps for a wild-looking six-episode variety show entitled Improbably Poppy, harking back to her YouTube roots. A trailer reveals her in all sorts of weird and wonderful scenarios – from the more standard stuff like performances, to comedic scenarios like hanging out with clowns and rats (not together, though).

Watch the trailer for Improbably Poppy below:

The first episode of Improbably Poppy drops on October 11, with Veeps revealing that: “Poppy takes to the streets, offering disturbing fortunes and casually unraveling senses of reality. And a chance encounter with Franz Ferdinand – the Archduke, not the band – warps the fabric of time. It’s all a lesson on the importance of taking risks, even if it means breaking the universe – because, honestly, does anything really matter?”

Read this: Poppy: “Every day I wake up, I want to push myself to do something that I haven’t done the day before”
