The big review: Rock for People 2025
You know where you are? You’re in the Czech Republic, baby! GN’R, Slipknot, Linkin Park and more spend five days rocking the people of Rock for People…
Watch the cute-but-creepy video for Flux, the title-track from Poppy's upcoming fourth album.
Poppy is back with yet another brilliant new single, Flux.
Following recent grunge track Her, the genre-hopping artist is keeping things refreshingly straightforward once again with Flux, focussing this time on just straight-up catchy and infectious guitar-driven rock.
The song – which comes accompanied by a deceptively ominous video directed by Poppy and brought to life by Australian visual / sculpture artist Pip & Pop – serves as the title-track from Poppy's new album, which will be released in full on September 24 via Sumerian Records.

Flux – the album – was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (who's worked with everyone from Nine Inch Nails to St. Vincent), and was recorded live to tape for the first time, reportedly resulting in 'an organic feel that lends a decidedly personal touch to the new set of material'.

Poppy told Kerrang! in December about her love for heavy music and if that will feed into a new record: "I’d say yes to that. Though the new album that I’ve made is going to be left open to interpretation by the listener, I would say that it still has the influence of heavy music.”
