Pinhead Gunpowder are teasing their return

It’s looking like September 5 is going to be an absolutely massive day for rock fans: as well as Linkin Park’s anticipated return, also seemingly coming back are awesome East Bay punks Pinhead Gunpowder!

The four-piece – comprised of Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and touring guitarist Jason White, plus drummer/lyricist Aaron Cometbus and bassist Bill Schneider – are teasing that something is coming tomorrow.

On Instagram, with the caption ‘Here goes the neighbourhood…’, the band have posted a video teaser featuring a new photo of them all together, along with the logo for Oakland-based label 1-2-3-4 Go! Records and the time of 6am PDT on September 5 (that’s 2pm for fans in the UK, FYI).

Pinhead… have released plenty of music over the years since their formation in the early ’90s, though they officially only have one proper studio album: 1997 debut Goodbye Ellston Avenue. Will we be getting a follow-up, perhaps?
