Washington's favourite sons (except for that other band) The Melvins have released a video for their new track Embrace The Rub, which was directed by Mackie Osborne, frontman/guitarist Buzz Osborne's wife. It's a wild ride of a collage video, and as you can see from the still above, there's some footage of a trash panda in there somewhere.
“Embrace The Rub is a Steven McDonald penned, punker tune throwback to his days as a young Hawthorne, CA punk hanging out with Black Flag," says the band’s drummer Dale Crover. "For some reason, I decided that this tune really needed a piano part.”
The song appears on the band’s forthcoming new album Pinkus Abortion Technician, which is out on April 20th and includes two bassists: Steven McDonald (Redd Kross, OFF!) and Jeff Pinkus (Butthole Surfers).
The band are also heading out on a tour with both bassists, which will be fun.
