After days of teasing a special announcement for today, Download has revealed 17 more bands for its already bulging 2021 line-up.

Leading the charge for today's announcement are thrash legends Megadeth, who will be headlining the second stage on Friday night. And on Sunday night, punk legends Descendents will be making their debut Donington appearance when they headline the Avalanche stage.

On Saturday, Creeper's Will Gould will be pulling double-duty, as his new side-project Salem will be playing the Avalanche stage, just hours before he returns with the Southampton goth-punks.

"Excited and humbled to announce that Salem will be performing at this year’s Download Festival," says Will. "Looking forward to staying out of the sun with you all in 2021."

The "travelling troupe clown horde" The Injester will also be making an appearance at Download at an undisclosed location.

The band's announced today will join Biffy Clyro, System Of A Down, KISS, Deftones, Korn, Gojira, A Day To Remember and more on June 4-6, 2021, at Castle Donington. Get your tickets now.
