Ahead of its release tomorrow, Mark Hoppus says that, for him, new blink-182 single ONE MORE TIME is up there with the likes of Feeling This and What’s My Age Again?
Following last year’s EDGING, the wait is nearly over for another new blink-182 single – and ahead of its release tomorrow (September 21), Mark Hoppus has teased that it’s one of the band’s best-ever songs.
In a short social media video segment, fans of the pop-punk icons have been invited to text in their questions to the band over at 323-831-0182. And the bassist answered the query of, ‘What is the Mount Rushmore of blink-182 songs?’
Firing three off quickly, Mark had some excellent picks: Feeling This, Dammit and What’s My Age Again?. And then he completed the list with new single ONE MORE TIME, with the song playing over the top of the video.
blink have shared several teasers for the track already, and you can hear Mark singing in the opening verse: ‘I wish they told us / It shouldn’t take a sickness / Or airplanes falling out the sky,’ which refers to his own cancer battle and the plane crash that Travis Barker experienced in 2008. So it’s no wonder the song has quickly become one of his personal favourites, given its poignancy.
ONE MORE TIME (the song) will drop on Thursday at 7am PT, 10am ET and 3pm BST. ONE MORE TIME… (the album) is set to arrive on October 20.

In a recent video interview with Zane Lowe, returning frontman Tom DeLonge admitted he hadn’t thought about getting back with blink until Mark’s cancer battle in 2021.
“I remember telling my wife, like, ‘I don’t think I'm ever gonna play music again, I don’t think I'm ever gonna tour again,’” Tom said. “Until Mark told me he was sick, and then I was like, ‘That was the only thing I wanna do.’”
