Travis Barker reveals he’s recorded two albums in the past two months
blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
Bassist Mark Hoppus has stated that talk of former frontman Tom DeLonge rejoining blink-182 is "a completely unfounded rumour".
Bassist Mark Hoppus has stated that talk of former frontman Tom DeLonge rejoining blink-182 is "a completely unfounded rumour".
While Tom has been speaking publicly about getting back together with Mark and drummer Travis Barker for a little while now – first with Kerrang!, and then 91X San Diego – Mark recently told Los Angeles radio station KROQ-FM that "There is not any talk of that right now. I mean I'll never say never to anything, but that is a completely unfounded rumour at this point."
The bassist's comments follow Tom explaining that “there’s going to be people that are wanting blink” from him, adding: “I get it – trust me, I love blink and it’s given me everything in my life. And, you know, I plan on doing it in the future.”
Tom then followed this up by telling 91X San Diego: "It hit the press last week I think that – yes everybody – I will play with blink again. That’s the whole plan. I talk to Travis all the time, and I talked to Mark just the other day and we’re always discussing what makes sense and when."
Huh. Listen to Mark's new interview below.
As you'll hear, Mark also explained the status of the new blink-182 album, stating that it will definitely be coming out soon…
“There is not an exact date," he says. "It is coming out this summer. I was just on the phone earlier today with Ron Perry, who’s the head of our label, and we are figuring out the exact launch date. But we are finalising mixes right now, we have about half the album mastered, and the announce on when the album will be released will be forthcoming.”
