Back before the internet, being a music journalist was all about flying all over the world, doing drugs with your heroes, pushing exciting new music, selling magazines by the hundreds of thousands, buying a giant house, filling it with photos of you and members of Radiohead laughing together and then dying of a heart attack from all the cocaine at 63.
But the internet has happened, so now the bulk of a music journalist's job is waiting for photographers to send Wetransfer files and writing headlines like "Man Plays Enter Sandman Drum Parts With Dildos", then worrying that Facebook will hide the post from your followers for being too dirty and changing it to "Man Plays Enter Sandman Drum Parts With Sex Toys".
