Waterparks debuted their explosively catchy new track Numb during this weekend's ANTI-TOUR stream.
Waterparks have premiered another new song ahead of the release of their upcoming fourth album Greatest Hits.
The explosively catchy Numb was performed live during the trio's weekend ANTI-TOUR stream, and follows previous singles Snow Globe and Lowkey As Hell. As well as showcasing just how varied their new LP will be, Numb also features some typically witty lyrics from frontman Awsten Knight – our choice pick being, 'My band and I are like Coldplay / That's allowed to say the fuck word / And you / You're like / The biggest scummy bummy dummy ugly motherfucker.' Lovely.
Speaking to Kerrang! in January about Greatest Hits and where Waterparks are going musically, Awsten enthused, "I’m glad we’ve set the bar and the expectation of, 'Hey, we’re going to make all kinds of weird shit, and shit that you’re not going to expect.' We’ve opened the door to be able to do anything, and my only hope is that people don’t go into it expecting too much of one thing, because they will never, ever, ever be right. Here’s the thing: I know it’s great, and I hope they’re willing to just take it in as music and not, 'This is what I want from Waterparks.’
"As long as the approach is to appreciate it and hear it for what it is then I think they’re gonna fucking love it.”
Greatest Hits is due out on May 21 via 300 Entertainment. Check out Numb below:
