Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon and Amyl And The Sniffers receive BRIT Award nominations
The BRIT Awards are back for another year and a bunch of K! favourites are battling it out...
Did we see this coming? We said maybe...
What's the story? Bring Me The Horizon have done a cover of Oasis classic and favourite of blokes with acoustic guitars everywhere, Wonderwall. And not only have Sheffield's finest have put their own spin on Manchester's finest, they've recreated a shot from the song's iconic video for the artwork.
The track, along with another new track, an updated version of last year's YOUtopia (EarthcOre remix), comes as part of Spotify's Singles Club. Previous entries have seen IDLES, Wet Leg and LCD Soundsystem contributing unusual tracks, with all profits going to Teenage Cancer Trust.
Having recently sold out Brazil's 45,000-capacity Allianz Parque stadium, the band have also just been nominated for Best Group at this year's BRIT Awards. Last year they came out of the ceremony one gong richer, scooping Best Alt/Rock Act. Some might say they could repeat the trick this year.
Anyway, here's BMTH doing Wonderwall...
BMTH headline Reading and Leeds in August. Oasis, meanwhile, have a couple of gigs themselves, kicking off their long-awaited reunion on July 4 at Cardiff's Principality stadium.
