Lake Malice have just dropped a new single and video, Nobody Wants To Be You.
The track follows February’s Scatterbrain, and is described by the duo – vocalist Alice Guala and guitarist/producer Blake Cornwall – as a “dark pop-metal takedown of vanity and nepotism in the music scene”.
The band have already been performing Nobody Wants To Be You in their recent live sets – and speaking of shows, we caught Lake Malice in triumphant form at 2000trees over the summer. In our review, Kerrang! said that “…Alice and Blake work the space in tandem, both bouncing and buoyant like they’re on the moon, never daring to be still. They use their time to create a space for those who have ever felt unsafe at shows, particularly with track Creepers, and feel just as electrifying as ever.”
