Kathleen Hanna is set to hit the road for a book tour in support
of Rebel Girl: My Life As A Feminist Punk.
The Bikini Kill legend’s memoir – which, according to a press
release, ‘reveals the hardest times along with the most joyful, and how they
continue to fuel her revolutionary art and music’ – is due out on May 14, 2024 via
Ecco (an imprint of HarperCollins), with the book tour beginning the same day
at Brooklyn’s Greenlight Bookstore.
After that, Kathleen will hit nine more cities across the U.S.,
including the Town Hall Seattle on May 22 which
will also be livestreamed for those who can’t make it in person.
A portion of all book tour ticket sales will be donated to the non-profit
organisation Peace Sisters, who help girls ‘empower themselves through reliable access to education in Togo, West
Africa.
