As well as the recent announcement of their epic illustrated book, Iron Maiden have got an official feature documentary on the way.

Set to hit cinemas in autumn 2025, the as-yet-untitled film – which is directed by Malcolm Venville and produced by Dominic Freeman – will see the band continue to celebrate their 50-year legacy, via Universal Pictures.

Not only will it include exclusive interviews with band members – past and present – it’ll also feature appearances from peers and famous superfans including Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich and Gene Simmons, not to mention the last ever interview with Maiden’s original vocalist, the late Paul Di’Anno.

“We’re proud Universal Pictures Content Group has chosen to share the unique story of Iron Maiden with the world,” enthuses their legendary manager Rod Smallwood. “We have given them unrestricted access to the band, our fans and musical peers. We trust that they will excite not only music fans but also anyone who loves a story of an underdog beating the odds to become and remain one of Britain’s biggest musical exports since our first record released 45 years ago.”

Stay tuned for more info when we have it, including the documentary title and release date.
