The last time Turnstile were in Manchester, they were headlining Outbreak Fest at Depot Mayfield alongside Knocked Loose, Deafheaven and Touché Amoré. Last night – almost a year to the day since their last UK show at All Points East – the Baltimore hardcore heroes were headlining a sold-out O2 Victoria Warehouse to 2,500 crazed fans in what's essentially a victory lap around Europe after their most recent album GLOW ON flipped alternative music on its head.
Few bands have captured the imaginations of rock, metal, punk and alternative fans in recent years like Turnstile, and this blistering headline set proved why. Speeding through 19 tracks in raucous fashion, the Maryland punks doled out huge hitters to the sweat-drenched capacity crowd including MYSTERY, ALIEN LOVE CALL, Real Thing and HOLIDAY.
We can't quite replicate the intensity and excitement of Turnstile firing on all cylinders in words, but here's a glimpse of the action…
