Creeper hit St John’s Church in Kingston to celebrate the release of new album Sanguivore, and it looked like this…
Last Friday, Creeper celebrated the release of their phenomenal, 5/5-rated new album Sanguivore with a special release gig… in a church.
The band headed to the home of Banquet Records, Kingston, to play a stunning acoustic show at St John’s Church. The short-but-sweet set opened with Hiding With Boys, before the band covered Timber Timbre’s I’m Coming To Paris To Kill You, and then debuted Sanguivore’s Ballad Of Spook And Mercy live for the first time. After that came another cover – Treaty by Leonard Cohen – before Crickets, Cry To Heaven and finally closer Misery.
Creeper’s social media helper Darcia the Vampire Familiar posted afterwards that the band “played acoustically in a church in Kingston for Banquet Records. No-one burst into flames as they came in which was strange.”
K! photographer Paul Harries headed to Kingston to capture Creeper’s latest sermon…
