Wiliam Von Ghould’s horror-punks Creeper hit Southampton on October 30 to celebrate Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death.
Creeper have announced a special hometown haunting to celebrate the release of their forthcoming album Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death.
They hit Southampton Engine Rooms on October 30, the night before the album drops. And, they specify, it's a "Strictly Vampire Dress Code".
Speaking to K! about the long-awaited sequel to 2023's Sanguivore, head vampire William Von Gould explained that it's a tale of a vampire rock band in the 1980s, with all the OTT behaviour that implies.
“It’s a record about excess. It's a record about decadence and flamboyance. And it made no sense when we're making a record where the things we are referencing are so silly and so over-the-top to be conservative with it. It's a really proud, silly record. It’s even being released on Halloween! How cool is that? As soon as we spotted it was on a Friday this year, we went: done!
“There’s a quote from Anton LaVey from The Church Of Satan,” Will smiles. “‘If I’m going to be a sinner, I’m going to be the biggest sinner on the block.’ I think that’s a big part of the vibe of this album.”
As well as launching the album, the show serves as a warm-up for the band's tour with Ice Nine Kills and The Devil Wears Prada, finishing with a spooktacular at Wembley.
