Halsey is creating and writing a “dark comedy TV series” called Bloodlust
Following October’s The Great Impersonator album, Halsey is cracking on with a whole new project alongside director Ti West.
Halsey will star in Bron Studios’ upcoming film National Anthem, also featuring Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Simon Rex and Toby Huss.
After starring in the epic accompanying film to If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power last year, Halsey has just announced another acting role: this time, in Bron Studios' upcoming film National Anthem.
The musician joins a cast that includes Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney, as well as Paul Walter Hauser, Simon Rex, Toby Huss, Gavin Maddox Bergman, Harriet Sansom Harris and Derek Hinkey. Lead by Tony Tost making his directorial debut, National Anthem is about 'a gritty hunt for a valuable rare Lakota Native American Ghost Shirt', according to Deadline.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to bring National Anthem to life on film, and to work with Page Fifty-Four Pictures, Bron Studios and this incredible cast,” announces Tony. “I’m especially thrilled to be bringing to the screen a vision of modern rural America that pays tribute to the myths of the West while also radically reinventing them.”
“We are thrilled to be working with Tony – as well as Alex, Sydney, Paul, Halsey and the rest of this great cast – on his vision of this inspirational and personal story of self-redemption and survival," continues producer Aaron L. Gilbert. "I can’t imagine a more talented group of actors to personify the grit and vulnerability of these characters. The emotional transformations will be extraordinary."
