Finally! After some big 2025 hints, Good Charlotte have confirmed a brand-new studio album.

Motel Du Cap – the follow-up to 2018’s Generation Rx – is set to arrive on August 8, as confirmed by a billboard in Los Angeles and some social media teasing. They’re encouraging fans online to make their reservations at the titular motel, posting that it’s “Waldorf’s best kept historical landmark since 1996. Come stay with us and bask into the beautiful Maryland sunshine!”

Speaking to Kerrang! about their pride for Generation Rx, Benji Madden admitted, “I know every band say it about their latest one, but I genuinely believe this is the best record we’ve ever made. It’s the most cohesive body of work.”

“We’re more us than we’ve ever been,” added Joel. “We’re stronger and more focused. We’ve found a way back to those kids who made The Young And The Hopeless and to integrate those kids with the grown men we are today. We found a way that they can help and teach each other.”
