Ghost are going head-to-head with Stereophonics in the UK’s Official Albums Chart this week.

The spooky heroes’ sixth LP Skeletá is currently sat at Number Two right now, behind the Welsh rockers’ 13th album Make ’Em Laugh, Make ’Em Cry, Make ’Em Wait which is in the top spot.

If Ghost continue as it is, Skeletá will reach the same chart placement as 2022’s Impera, and will be the fifth Top 10 of their career (via Official Charts) – including 2018’s Prequelle, 2023’s Phantomime, and last year’s killer Rite Here Rite Now soundtrack.

In our 4/5 review of Skeletá, we called the record “Ghost’s deepest, most intriguing statement to date”, explaining how, “Peeling back layer after layer, a full spectrum of feeling slowly spills out: dark humour, cold existentialism, hot-blooded lust.”
