Ghost cancel three Skeletour dates due to major U.S. winter storm

Ghost have had to cancel three dates on their current Skeletour due to this weekend’s major U.S. winter storm.

Tonight’s gig in Tennessee at Knoxville’s Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center will no longer be going ahead; nor will the band’s shows at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 25 or the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina the following evening.

“We wish to inform you due to the state of emergency issued in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee, and at the direction of local authorities, the Ghost shows scheduled for January 24 in Knoxville, January 25 in Charlotte and January 26 in Greenville have, regrettably, been cancelled,” Ghost announce.

“If you purchased tickets or VIP Packages through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically – no further action is needed. If you purchased through a third-party reseller, please contact your original point of purchase.

“Please heed caution and stay safe.”

As per ABC News, at least 16 U.S. states have declared states of emergency going into this weekend’s storm, with millions of Americans potentially facing heavy snow, freezing rain and ‘extremely dangerous’ conditions.
