Ghost tease more live shows: “Stay tuned for upcoming dates”
Having wrapped up the U.S. leg of their Skeletour World Tour 2025 last night, Ghost are hinting that there’s still more to come…
Ghost are releasing a number of new vinyl editions of their third album Meliora, to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.
On the 10th anniversary of the release of Meliora, Ghost have announced some brand-new vinyl editions of the record.
Having performed plenty of material from the album on their recent incredible Skeletour, the band are celebrating the era of Papa Emeritus III with a bunch of new double vinyl variants arriving on October 17 – check them all out below.
Speaking to Kerrang! about going into the making of Meliora and what he’d hoped to create, mastermind Tobias Forge revealed his plans of doing a “a super-urban record that takes place in a not-traditionally doom environment – no cemeteries or any of that sort of thing. It was supposed to be a record that was infused with the idea of the absence of God.”
In other Ghost news, the band recently wrapped up the U.S. leg of the Skeletour World Tour 2025, and teased that there’s going to be more to come: “Stay tuned for upcoming dates,” they said. Watch this space…
In our review of the opening night of the whole tour in Manchester back in April, we wrote that, “Ghost already won years ago, a fact spoken to by the legions of Papas and evil nuns filling Manchester’s taxis and trains tonight, not to mention an almost total domination of Ghost shirts in the AO’s postcode. But even for a band with a magical ascent already logged, this all feels like a moment. Iron Maiden had the legendary World Slavery Tour, Metallica had their early ’90s Black Album run, and Slipknot truly arrived with the enormous Iowa campaign. With the Skeletour, Ghost can now count themselves among that rare group of bands whose blossoming moments didn’t just do for themselves, but will be remembered as a waymarker in metal’s history books.”
