Nine Inch Nails’ inaugural music and film festival, Future Ruins, has unfortunately been cancelled.

Due to take place at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center on November 8, the first-of-its-kind event was set to feature a very special performance of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ soundtrack work, including material from The Social Network, Watchmen, Gone Girl, Soul, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Challengers, Empire Of Light, Waves, The Vietnam War, Mank and The Killer. Elsewhere, the likes of Danny Elfman, John Carpenter, Questlove, Cristobal Tapia de Veer, Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow, Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin, HILDUR GUðNADÓTTIR, Isobel Waller-Bridge, Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein, Mark Mothersbaugh and even more were also set to appear.

However, a statement from the organisers reads: “Unfortunately Future Ruins will not move forward this year. The reality is, due to a number of logistical challenges and complications, we feel we cannot provide the experience that’s defined what this event was always intended to be.

“Rather than compromise, we’re choosing to re-think and re-evaluate. Meanwhile, we are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate all the interest and support. Refunds will be automatically issued and ticket holders will receive an email with more information.”
