Foo Fighters unleash Minor Threat cover

Foo Fighters have covered Minor Threat’s I Don’t Wanna Hear It, with vocals having been recorded this year but the instrumentals captured all the way back in 1995.

Foo Fighters have just unleashed a new-slash-old Minor Threat cover.

The rock legends have tackled I Don’t Wanna Hear It from the hardcore punk heroes’ first-ever 7”, and it’s an especially interesting one given when it was recorded: according to the YouTube description, Dave Grohl laid down his vocals for this in 2025, but the instrumentals were done all the way back in 1995.

Of course, that does mean Dave has been in the studio recently – might he have been recording anything else while he was there? The Foos released their 11th studio album But Here We Are two years ago, and recently set up a Substack looking back over their entire history. Watch this space…
