As it arrives on Netflix today (April 3), the killer soundtrack for new animated series Devil May Cry has also dropped.

Our questions have been answered! Evanescence have just announced a brand-new single for forthcoming Netflix series Devil May Cry.
The band will drop the massive-sounding Afterlife this week, before the show lands on the streaming service on April 3. Up first, there’ll be a lyric video (“featuring exclusive clips” from Devil May Cry) on Thursday, March 27 at 9am PT, and then on Friday, March 28 the single properly arrives.

Last September, vocalist Amy Lee revealed that the band were getting into the “creative process” for the potential follow-up to 2021 album The Bitter Truth.
“We’re not deep in the throes of it yet,” Amy said. “We’ve been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we’re gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round – round one.”
Did Afterlife come from those sessions, perhaps?!
