Earlier this week, we introduced you to Deijuvhs (pronounced day-you-VHS) and his exciting new musical movement – and today (Friday, June 30) he’s keeping the momentum going with huge single Moonlight Bop.

Ahead of the East London rap and nu-metal artist’s upcoming support slot with Limp Bizkit at Gunnersbury Park in August, Deijuvhs is showing why he’ll be the perfect warm-up act: “The soundtrack to Woodstock ’99,” he says of Moonlight Bop. “I made this song for the hood punks to rage to. It goes off at my show.”

Telling Kerrang! how the single came about, he shares: “My boy Mattu [producer] was listening to some Limp Bizkit in the shower and came up with the idea that we need to make something with the same energy. We went to the studio and a few hours later we had a party song. It was good to make something fun and heavy.”

Deijuvhs will also be playing Glasgow’s new heavy music festival, core., on August 18.
