Live review: Knocked Loose, O2 Institute Birmingham
Knocked Loose hit Birmingham hard as they begin their furious new chapter...
A crowdfunding campaign has been launched to get Chris Johnson back on his feet after his accident, which cost him a few teeth.
Blackgaze pioneers Deafheaven are often credited as having reshaped metal to make it more beautiful and thoughtful. But sadly, violence sometimes befalls us whether we like it or not.
Deafheaven bassist Chris Johnson was in a severe cycling accident, which, among other injuries, cost him several teeth. A crowdfunding page on Go Get Funding has been launched to help him with his medical expenses while he gets back on his feet.
Here's a photo of Chris below; those readers with a weak stomach, get ready.
In the caption for the campaign, Chris wrote, "This is a fundraiser to help cover medical costs from a recent bicycle accident, which resulted in me losing everything from my dignity (lol) to some teeth and beyond. I've had a few close friends suggest that I do something like this to help cover some of the expenses, so here we are, BUT, I'm going to work for it."
For all of us here at Kerrang!, we wish Chris a speedy recovery.
