On top of the constant stream of rock and metal tributes that have flown in since yesterday, London pop giants Coldplay have also honoured the late Ozzy Osbourne.

At the band’s Music Of The Spheres tour in Nashville last night (July 22), frontman Chris Martin took to the piano five songs into their set to perform a touching cover of Changes, following the news of the Black Sabbath hero’s death earlier in the day.

“We’d like to dedicate this whole show to the incredible genius, talent and characterful gift to the world who was Ozzy Osbourne,” Chris said (via Billboard). “We send our love to his family.” He added: “Ozzy, we love you, wherever you’re going.”

The Prince Of Darkness’ passing was announced in a statement yesterday. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” wrote Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis. “He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
