The Kerrang! staff’s top albums of 2024
You’ve seen the Kerrang! albums of 2024. Now check out what the staff were all listening to this year…
Bring Me The Horizon will be releasing their first new music in the not-so-distant future, following the departure of Jordan Fish last month…
It’s been a surprising time in the Bring Me The Horizon camp of late, with the band parting ways with Jordan Fish on December 22. But shortly we’ll have the first new BMTH music presumably as a four-piece.
Having already been teasing new single Kool-Aid, an official newsletter has now confirmed that the POST HUMAN: NeX Gen tune is “coming soon”, and is available to pre-save/pre-add. Frontman Oli Sykes has also shared the entire track’s lyrics, with the chorus intriguingly asking the questions: ‘Is this what you wanted? No / Do you want some more? Yes / D-generation.’
Announcing his departure last month, Bring Me thanked Jordan for “the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon. See you on our UK tour in January.”
In his own personal statement, Jordan added: “I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production.”

And read the Kool-Aid lyrics:
We are the children of the devolution
The infamous martyrs, the scars on the sun
Asphyxiating with a smile on your face
While they pull your teeth out one by one
Is this what you wanted? No
Do you want some more? Yes
D-generation
Who's keeping score? 'Cause you got a taste now
Drank the Kool-Aid by the jug, so suffer your fate, oh
Come here and give me a hug
Nobody loves you like I love you
Oh, my dear
But you should've known that this was gonna end in tears
Such a sucker for an execution, the void is a vampire
Fat on our blood
Domesticated like a cat in a cage
While they try their hand at playing god
Is this what you wanted? No
Do you want some more? Yes
D-generation
Afraid there's no cure
