Travis Barker reveals he’s recorded two albums in the past two months
blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been very busy in the studio since the band got back from tour…
It looks like blink-182 will hit the road with Weezy this summer.
With a bunch of new songs for their upcoming new album recorded, it stands to reason that pop punk pioneers blink-182 have a tour in the works. That said, most fans probably aren't ready for this specific package: blink will be hitting the road as co-headliners with rapper Lil Wayne, and Neck Deep acting as support.
The coming together of the two acts makes more than one big statement. First, it shows that blink-182 are a huge enough band that they can co-headline with one of the most famous rappers in the world. Second, it displays that they believe there's an audience out there who's excited for both, and that hip-hop and pop-punk fans might more often than not be one and the same. Finally, it shows that the music industry obviously thinks there's money to be made in the current meshing of hip-hop and rock that seems to be so prevalent right now.
