In pictures: The biggest, most jaw-dropping Aftershock ever
From Bring Me The Horizon’s final show of the year to Deftones’ epic homecoming, here’s what went down in Sacramento for Aftershock 2025.
‘Heaven isn’t quite what it seems…’ Following recent singles Impose and Specter, we’re getting more new Bad Omens this week!
Bad Omens are teasing another new single, Dying To Love.
Following August’s Specter and last month’s Impose, the Virginia metalcore monsters are seemingly keeping up their current trend of giving fans one new track per month – and on October 22 we’ll be getting Dying To Love, along with a very intense-looking music video. They’ve captioned a teaser post, ‘Heaven isn’t quite what it seems,’ which is presumably an intriguing lyric from the song.
Recently, frontman Noah Sebastian spoke of the material he’d accumulated over the years, and if it was all going to come together on one new Bad Omens LP… or perhaps even two.
“We have a lot of songs that could make more than one record, and the biggest hurdle I’ve had with it is the spaces between [being] creative and then going back on tour and getting back into performance mode and travel mode, and what that does to me and how I have to prepare for that,” he said. “Also creating a live show; we made a whole new one before we did Mayhem Festival, and that took a lot of time and creative energy. So it’s just the matter of bouncing back and forth between writing and trying to pick back up where you left off, and also being inspired by new things before you’re wrapping up the thing that you started.
“So that’s why I’m kind of toying with this idea of, ‘Maybe I’m gonna make more than one record, or just one really large record that tells more of a story about why the record sounds the way it does.’ I don’t know, I’m still playing with it, and I’m still trying to not get stressed out about it, and just enjoy the process of writing and playing shows, and putting out songs that we want to play live.”
