Bad Omens announce UK and Europe tour
Bad Omens, Bilmuri and The Ghost Inside will hit the UK and Europe this winter for the DO YOU FEEL LOVE tour – including London’s Alexandra Palace...
Still deep in the creative process writing the follow-up to 2022’s The Death Of Peace Of Mind, Bad Omens frontman Noah Sebastian is weighing up his options…
Good news, Bad Omens fans! It sounds like frontman Noah Sebastian has been working on plenty of new material.
Of course, the band returned with new single Specter – which is the singer’s favourite song he’s ever made, according to the below interview – earlier this month, and just announced a huge 2025 UK and European tour, too.
And now, in a chat with radio station 93X, Noah says he’s accumulated a lot more new tracks over the past couple of years… however, he’s still trying to work out quite what shape it’s all going to take.
Replying to host Pablo who says, “Right now you’re full-on writing the record… it’s not done,” Noah explains (transcribed by Kerrang!), “No! I mean, it depends who you ask, you know? We have a lot of songs that could make more than one record, and the biggest hurdle I’ve had with it is the spaces between [being] creative and then going back on tour and getting back into performance mode and travel mode, and what that does to me and how I have to prepare for that. Also creating a live show; we made a whole new one before we did Mayhem Festival, and that took a lot of time and creative energy. So it’s just the matter of bouncing back and forth between writing and trying to pick back up where you left off, and also being inspired by new things before you’re wrapping up the thing that you started.
“So that’s why I’m kind of toying with this idea of, ‘Maybe I’m gonna make more than one record, or just one really large record that tells more of a story about why the record sounds the way it does.’ I don’t know, I’m still playing with it, and I’m still trying to not get stressed out about it, and just enjoy the process of writing and playing shows, and putting out songs that we want to play live.”
It lines up with something Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden – who works with Bad Omens as part of his and Benji’s MDDN company – told Kerrang! recently of Noah’s admirable, perfectionist work ethic: “And then there’s Noah from Bad Omens, who has got a vision and he’s gonna make it his. He’s going to make the record, however long it takes. And it’s not so dramatic – it’s, ‘This is what I’m doing.’ I’m a huge Bad Omens fan, and he’s working his ass off to create and bring a vision to life.”
