Both BABYMETAL and Bring Me The Horizon took Glastonbury by storm this weekend, and while they were on site, the Japanese superstars expressed their love for Sheffield's finest.
In fact, in a new interview with NME, MOAMETAL actually revealed that the band want to work with Oli Sykes and co., stating: “We love Bring Me The Horizon and I respect the band and their music. We want to collaborate with Bring Me The Horizon.”
Both groups aren't shy of recruiting other musicians on their work; BABYMETAL joining forces with Thai musician F. HERO on their new single PA PA YA!!, and Horizon working with Grimes, Dani Filth and Rahzel on latest 5K-rated record amo.
It doesn't mean their collaborations have always been straightforward, though. Back in May, Jordan Fish told Cutter's Rockcast Podcast that Bring Me The Horizon had approached Cradle Of Filth's frontman for the song wonderful life on Instagram, but Dani didn't actually believe it was legitimate.
“Oli just messaged him on Instagram – just literally [direct messaged] him," he said. "I think he thought it was a wind-up at first, because he messaged back and said, ‘If this is really you, then yes, I’m up for it.’ He’s a nice guy.”
Can we expect a repeat some day between BABYMETAL and Horizon, then? Let's hope so…
