Praise the Fox God, the Kawaii Metal superstars are coming to Donington
Many of you may only just be getting over BABYMETAL‘s mind-blowing, sold out SSE Arena Wembley in April but we have good news: they’re coming back! This morning (May 6), the Kawaii Metal superstars have confirmed they’ll be joining the huge list of amazing bands confirmed to play Download 2016 in June. We decided to catch up with SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and YUIMETAL to find out what they have in store!
What does it mean to you to play Download?
SU-METAL: “Last year we got the chance to appear at Download UK for the first time as part of a collaboration with DragonForce and it was really fun. At the time I remember wishing we would able to one day come back to perform with BABYMETAL! Lo and behold my dream is about to come true. At every festival we have performed in the UK, I am always shocked by the number of people in the audience, the crowds are massive, and I am looking forward to shocking all of them with our performance!”
So you had a good time with DragonForce, then?
MOAMETAL: “We performed with them a couple of times last year and they are a wonderful group . It was great experience for us! I want to perform with them again!“
Are you ready to tackle the British weather – be it blazing sunshine or rain?
YUIMETAL: “It doesn’t matter if it rains during our set, it always gets sunny after! I don’t know why, but it happens. I think the FOX GOD has the powers of controlling the weather!”
What band are you most looking forward to seeing this year?
SU-METAL: “From the list of artists performing on the same day as us, I am curious to check out RAMMSTEIN, KORN and All Time Low.”
BABYMETAL will be joining headliners Rammstein, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden, Korn, Deftones, All Time Low, Nightwish, Disturbed, Architects, Jane’s Addiction, Disturbed, Halestorm, Twin Atlantic and Megadeth, PLUS the first three shows of WWE’s NXT LIVE!
