Foo Fighters play surprise first show with new drummer Ilan Rubin
The Foo Fighters returned to the stage on Saturday night for a surprise gig in California, where they played deep cuts and welcomed new drummer Ilan Rubin…
Fresh from returning to the stage and welcoming new drummer Ilan Rubin, Foo Fighters confirm they’re going to bring fans that “100 per cent real, raw, human element of rock’n’roll” once again…
Foo Fighters have just shared a very, well, Foos-y joke video to tease that there’s much more to come from the band now they’re back.
Returning to the stage these past few days with a couple of intimate shows to welcome new drummer Ilan Rubin, the rock legends have now unveiled a video entitled A Message From Foo Fighters, in which they promise, “Stay tuned… there’s more to come!”
However, before that exciting teaser, there’s all sorts of weird AI stuff going on, as fake, six-fingered Dave Grohl begins, “Hey everyone. It’s been a while but I’m happy to announce that Foo Fighters are coming back to bring you that 100 per cent real, raw, human element of rock’n’roll…”
The Foos have got a bunch of shows coming up where we’ll hopefully find out more – they’ll be heading to Jakarta on October 2, before playing F1 in Singapore a couple of days later. Then they’ll play a pair of gigs at Tokyo’s Saitama Super Arena, and Glion Arena Kobe in Osaka. In November, they’ll head to Mexico for a couple of big shows.
So get ready for that and find out what to expect from the 2025 iteration of Foo Fighters below:
After his first show with the band, Ilan said: “Last night with Foo Fighters could not have been a better time. After keeping my head down for a couple wild months and throwing myself into the material, that first show was such an incredible release of energy. I’ve been taken aback by all the positivity and support, and I just wanted to say thanks! Excited for all the volume and sweat that lies ahead.”
