Album review: PUP – Who Will Look After The Dogs
Emotionally tortured and self-deprecating Canadian punks PUP let their sadness shine on marvellous fifth album.
The first wave of bands for next year’s 2000trees is here, with Alkaline Trio set to headline, and the likes of Glassjaw, Scowl, Superheaven, High Vis and Lambrini Girls on the rest of the bill.
2000trees have just made their huge first announcement for 2026.
The Upcote Farm bash – which takes place from Wednesday, July 8 to Saturday, July 11 – will feature a headline appearance by Alkaline Trio as a UK festival exclusive. Elsewhere, more than 80 other artists have been revealed for next summer, including Glassjaw, Scowl, Superheaven, High Vis, Lambrini Girls, House Of Protection, Dinosaur Pile-Up, NOTHING, Pinkshift and so many more – plus Ho99o9, who we just hosted in The K! Pit…
“We’re beyond stoked to kick off 2000trees Festival 2026 with one of the strongest first announcement line-ups we’ve ever released – not to mention our biggest Wednesday line-up to date,” says head honcho James Scarlett.
“We have a long requested returning headliner in the shape of Alkaline Trio, some returning 2000trees much loved acts like Dinosaur Pile Up, High Vis, PUP, Lambrini Girls, Cancer Bats and The Dirty Nil. As well as some first time Trees future heroes in the making like Pinkshift, Nothing, Banks Arcade, Scowl and House Of Protection. A word of warning from me: there’s only a handful of four-day tickets left – so if you want to join us for the best early-entry day of any UK rock festival, get in quick. You’ve been warned!”
