Ozzy to release Last Rites memoir in October
With his final Back To The Beginning performance still fresh in everyone’s minds, Ozzy Osbourne will be getting reflective in a new “brutally honest and unflinching” memoir, Last Rites.
Featuring Nuno Bettencourt, Sleep Token’s II, Frank Bello and Adam Wakeman, YUNGBLUD has officially released his stunning version of Changes from Back To The Beginning.
A couple of weeks on from his genuinely incredible performance of 1972’s Changes at Ozzy and Black Sabbath’s Back To The Beginning farewell show, YUNGBLUD has released the cover for charity.
Featuring a backing band of Nuno Bettencourt, Sleep Token’s II, Frank Bello and Adam Wakeman, the song was aired at Villa Park on July 5 in front of 40,000 metalheads as well as everyone else watching via livestream – and of course The Prince Of Darkness himself, who says of Dominic Harrison’s efforts: “He did an amazing job. I couldn’t have done it better myself.”
Like the show, YUNGBLUD’s Changes cover is raising money for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice, with Dom enthusing: “This was hands-down the biggest moment of my entire life. I got to stand onstage and honour one of my heroes, and the fact that it has touched so many is truly overwhelming.
“The best part about this release is that we can take such a monumental moment, immortalise it on tape, release it and donate all the money to such important causes in Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. This is what rock’n’roll is about. Stream it, buy it, add it to your playlist – let’s raise some fucking money.”
