Mad Cool reveal first names for 2025 including Weezer, Thirty Seconds To Mars and St. Vincent
Weezer and Thirty Seconds To Mars join the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Iggy Pop and Noah Kahan atop next year’s Mad Cool Festival bill.
Ahead of The Blue Album’s anniversary on Friday (May 10), Weezer appeared on John Mulaney’s Everybody’s In LA show on Netflix to perform Buddy Holly (and The Good Life).
After appearing on Netflix in Christmas movie Family Switch in December, Weezer are already back again on the streaming giant – this time courtesy of John Mulaney.
The geek rock legends have appeared on the comedian’s one-week talk show Everybody’s In LA, ahead of tomorrow’s big 30th anniversary of The Blue Album. As such, they performed classic single Buddy Holly, as well as The Good Life from Pinkerton.
Later this year Weezer will be partaking in even more Blue Album celebrations: namely, a massive North American tour, dubbed the Voyage To The Blue Planet, which also features The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. On that run they’ll play the record in full, obvs, as well as ‘other fan favourites, rarities and more’.
Anyway, you can see Weezer’s full performances of Buddy Holly and The Good Life on Netflix, and clips via social media below:
