Mad Cool reveal first names for 2025 including Weezer, Thirty Seconds To Mars and St. Vincent
Weezer and Thirty Seconds To Mars join the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Iggy Pop and Noah Kahan atop next year’s Mad Cool Festival bill.
Weezer will be celebrating 30 years of the iconic Blue Album with their very own “voyage”, which they say “takes flight” in March…
Weezer have just announced something called the ‘Blue Voyage’ – though we’re not quite sure what it is just yet…
Late last year, Rivers Cuomo revealed that the band were “putting ideas together” for ways to honour the 30th anniversary of their iconic Blue Album in 2024, and it looks like we’re about to soon find out what those plans entail. The singer said there’d likely be a “really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material”, and “some kind of epic tour” – so presumably this mysterious ‘Voyage’ will be referring to the latter part of these celebrations.
But is it just a tour? Or something else? The website bluevoyage2024.com says the Blue Voyage “takes flight” on March 11, while elsewhere they’ve also shared a teaser image – with the caption, “Are you prepared for the voyage?” – where Weezer are wearing what looks like spacesuits.
