"Mystic death creature vocalist" VoKILLz had Katy Perry and Lionel Richie hiding in terror on last night's American Idol.
American Idol has had its fair share of questionable and bizarre auditions. But last night's performance by Buffalo, New York's own Ethan Fingold, better known as "mystic death creature vocalist" VoKILLz, might take the cake.
The metal singer took to the American Idol stage last night and performed for judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie. VoKILLz appeared before the judges in a red duster and began his performance by offering Katy what she thought was a snake, and turned out to be a necklace. He then gave the judges his skull mask for "luck" before launching into a round of snarling trap metal vocals.
Katy and Lionel immediately took shelter under their desk… but Luke was actually pretty down!

Readers might be unsurprised to discover that VoKILLz did not make it past his first performance on American Idol. He did receive a 'Yes' from Katy Perry, though Katy was quick to explain her decision: "I didn't want him to murder me." But unfortunately, Luke and Lionel voted 'No', thus ending his stay on the popular show.
Though Ethan didn't make it past the first round, the people of Buffalo, New York, were proud to have such a colorful resident on the nation's biggest singing competition. WKBW Buffalo urged everyone to watch the show and support Ethan in his quest to become America's next big pop star.
That said, this isn't VoKILLz first televised appearance -- he also was featured on Comedy Central's Tosh.0 for his vocal performance… and other hobbies.
