Joining the growing list of musicians who are using their time under lockdown to perform covers or acoustic sets at home, The Struts have launched their new Sunday Service stream series, kicking it off with a cover of the Spice Girls' Stop.

The Derby quartet have taken on the 1997 hit single in typically cool fashion, adding their rock'n'roll edge to the music while also unashamedly embracing its poppy feel (special shoutout to guitarist Adam Slack's dance moves here).

“As British boys, it will come as no surprise that we were all once enamoured with the Spice Girls,” says frontman Luke Spiller. “This song still holds a lot of memories and is a true piece of pop perfection. Long live Girl Power.”

And they're not the only British band who have shown their love for the Spice Girls lately. Back in February, Bring Me The Horizon turned up to the BRIT Awards dressed as the popstars, calling for Girl Power in a heavily male-dominated event.
