Watch The First Official Trailer For Bill & Ted Face The Music

Having already teased fans earlier today with the first official poster for Bill & Ted Face The Music, the trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel has finally arrived – and it's suitably excellent.

"Whoa. The wait is finally over, dudes!" say Orion Pictures. "Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter star in the first official trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music! Watch now! And remember: be excellent to each other."

The official synopsis for Bill & Ted 3 – which you'll also gather when you take a look at the amusing and uplifting minute-and-a-half-long trailer – reads as follows:

"The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves). The now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe, with the helped by their daughters (played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine), a new batch of historical figures and a few music legends. The film also stars Kid Cudi, Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr. and Amy Stoch."

Indeed, as the duo set out to seek such a song, they realise in the trailer that they can simply just steal it from their future selves… y'know, because that's probably the easiest and most convenient option, rather than just writing one in the present. And as Ted questions the moral implications of this genius idea, Bill argues, “How is that stealing if we’re stealing it from ourselves, dude?” Yup, that's a pretty fair point.

While cinemas are currently shut amid the coronavirus pandemic, Bill & Ted Face The Music is scheduled to premiere on August 21 – so stay tuned for any potential updates.
