Following Sofabed earlier this month, Uninvited and Cherym’s double single The Afterparty is now complete with the release of new bop Liar! (despise you).
Uninvited and Cherym have just unveiled their brilliant new split single, The Afterparty.
Comprised of pop-punk banger Sofabed and newbie Liar! (despise you), the complete release is out now via Alcopop! and Final Girl Records.
Speaking about Liar! (despise you), Uninvited explain that the track is about “finding out the person who you thought you knew isn’t that person at all, but somehow still finding yourself drawn to them. Gritty guitars and stacked melodies inspired by ’00s pop-punk help drive the point in this song.”
They add: “Working on this collaboration with Cherym has been the best experience. Their energy, creativity and authenticity brought so much to the track, and the process was inspiring and exciting from start to finish. A true meeting of minds. We are really proud of what we have created together – it really captures the magic of collaboration and the spirit of Derry’s own Cherym.”
