twenty one pilots have released an anthemic new single, Drum Show.
Following June’s lead single The Contract, this is the second taste we’ve got from the duo’s forthcoming eighth album Breach – and unsurprisingly given its title, we get drummer Josh Dun not only putting in one hell of a performance, but also properly singing on a twenty one pilots song for the first time ever.
Over the weekend, frontman Tyler Joseph made a rare statement on social media about the fact that, “I’m so, so pumped for you guys to hear this record. Breach took everything I had left; but as I stare at these finished wav files, I realise how little they mean until they get to you. Fans of this band have given me so much fulfilment and purpose. Thank you for that.”
He also revealed that the band won’t be doing a proper world tour for Breach – only their upcoming North American shows this autumn, and “maybe some festivals next year”. “It will be the first time in our career we won’t know when we will tour again,” he admitted.
