twenty one pilots look set to involve their fans like never before on their upcoming The Clancy Tour: Breach.
The band have just revealed that participating venues on their autumn North American run will include something called the ‘Bandito Camp’ for those with general admission lawn tickets, with a teaser reading: “The show extends into the lawn. Join the Bandito Camp in your town this fall.”
Of course, if you’re a big follower of twenty one pilots lore, then you’ll know that Banditos – led by drummer Josh Dun, who is also known as the Torchbearer – are the rebel group from Trench. New album Breach is set to bring this whole fantastical storyline (which began with 2015’s Blurryface) to an end somehow, and now it sounds as though that also extends to the live environment, which is a very exciting prospect indeed.
Sadly, though, fans outside of America likely won’t get to experience this, as frontman Tyler Joseph announced earlier this month that, “other than maybe some festivals next year, it will be the first time in our career we won’t know when we will tour again.” He did say, however, that The Clancy Tour: Breach will “be pure magic, and I cannot wait”. Tyler also wrote, “Sucks that we aren’t giving Breach a proper world tour, and I’m sorry to our fans outside of the States.”
Anyway, stay tuned to see just what Tyler and Josh have got up their sleeves. New album Breach is dropping on September 12, with the tour kicking off just under one week later at Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium.
