Before they join As December Falls on the road, The Hara have released a new single with singer Bethany Hunter Jiménez.
Entitled Violence, the song is taken from next year’s album The Fallout (which is due out on January 23 via Mascot), and vocalist Josh enthuses that, “When we wrote Violence, we always had in mind that it would be incredible to have a strong female voice on the track to really bring out the two characters and the emotion of what the song is about, and when we heard Beth was interested, we knew it would be a perfect fit. Her high pop-punk vocals take it to a whole new level and she absolutely killed it on both the song and the music video.”
Speaking about the meaning behind the track, Josh continues: “It’s a love story without a clear villain. It’s about two people desperately trying to make something work, even though it was never meant to last. The pain, the hurt, the manipulation – they’ve come to mistake all of it for love. And because of that, they can’t bring themselves to let go.”
