“The greatest evil returns:” Watch the first trailer for The Nun 2

The first official trailer for The Nun 2 is here – and it’s obviously very tense and spooky!

Described as “the greatest evil in The Conjuring Universe”, The Nun 2 is the ninth instalment in the epic supernatural horror franchise, and is due to hit cinemas on September 8.

Set four years after 2018’s The Nun, The Nun 2 will reportedly tie in nicely with the wider Conjuring cinematic universe, with director Michael Chaves teasing to Entertainment Weekly: “Anyone who’s a fan of it knows the timeline and this is definitely part of the timeline.

“There’s a lot of cool stuff in it. I honestly cannot wait until it comes out so I can just unload all the little Easter eggs that we’ve peppered through the movie.”

As shared by Entertainment Tonight, a brief description reads: ‘Taissa Farmiga returns for The Conjuring universe horror sequel as Sister Irene, as well as Bonnie Aarons as the titular character. Storm Reid also joins the cast.’
