Album review: Ocean Grove – ODDWORLD
Melbourne party-starters Ocean Grove get weird in both good ways and bad on album number four…
We go through the huge Record Store Day release list and pick out the best bits for rock fans
Record Store Day 2019 is looming and there are a lot of limited-edition releases coming our way. Seriously, there are over 500 new records being pressed – from beautiful gatefold sets to splattered 7-inches, our wallets are quivering at the sheer amount of money we’re going to splurge on April 13.
But we can’t buy everything (sadly). And if we’re going to spend hours queueing outside record stores, we need to come up with solid shopping list or it’ll be chaos and we’ll end up weeping in the corner.
We’ve combed through the ridiculous number of Record Store Day releases and come up with the 30 essential purchases for rock and metal fans. From Halestorm’s clear-green 7” to Weezer’s teal-coloured Teal album, it’s going to be a glorious day.
