“We heard you. We’re coming”: SOAD announce South America stadium tour
Thankfully we didn’t have to wait too long to find out what System Of A Down were teasing: the band will be hitting some massive places in South America in the spring…
Following the release of Lil Uzi Vert’s track CS – which is a cover of System Of A Down’s Chop Suey! – members of the band have weighed in…
System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian and Shavo Odadjian have both shared Lil Uzi Vert’s recent cover of Chop Suey!.
The Philly rap star tackled the nu-metal classic on their newly-released album Pink Tape, calling it ‘CS’ rather than giving it its full title.
And while it’s somewhat split the opinion of metalheads for adding in AutoTuned vocals, frontman Serj took to Facebook to share our news story (thanks, Serj!) on the rendition and said that, “Covers are always the biggest compliment to artists and songwriters.” We take it he digs in, then.
Meanwhile, bassist Shavo posted it on his Instagram and asked his followers: “Have you heard the @liluzivert cover of Chop Suey?”
Elsewhere on Pink Tape, Lil Uzi Vert once again teamed up with Bring Me The Horizon on the absolutely huge Werewolf, and they worked with BABYMETAL on the song The End.
