The Official Charts have announced that SOFT PLAY’s new album HEAVY JELLY could be their highest charting yet.

The band’s 4/5-rated fourth offering is currently in the Top 3 in the UK midweeks, alongside Eminem and Olivia Rodrigo (no big deal, eh?).

If it stays there – which we very much hope it does – then it’ll be their best charting record so far, with Are You Satisfied? and Acts Of Fear And Love previously hitting Number 8, and Take Control landing at 6.

“We worked really, really hard on this music, so to see it pay off and the fans are enjoying the music as much as we do…” says Laurie Vincent. “This is the music we want to make, and HEAVY JELLY’s release has definitely given us a new lease of life and a new sense of confidence.”
